The Eleventh
07/03/2023 (Post 2)
For my second post of the day, I found another poster designed by the Stenberg brothers. Information can be found in my first post for today (07/03/23) and in the source link below.
This poster design is called The Eleventh. It was created a year prior to the first poster I discussed, In The Spring. The Eleventh is an example of Early Modern design because while the man's face being shown is part of an illustration, his glasses (lenses) are showing what appears to be photographs of a wagon (can be better seen in the lense to the left). Also, because the yellow text to the left of the design is extremely proportionate. It appears that the darker text to the right of the design shows the same typeface.
The Eleventh is important to Early Modernism because of the fact that the Stenberg brothers used less photographs in this design than In The Spring. When reviewing these two designs, I realized that they both went outside the box in terms of what to create next.
