Freedom Pavilion
07/05/2023 (Post 1)
My next post is based on another poster created by Lester Beall. I discussed about his life and career in one of my first couple of posts, there is also a resource link at the end of the article to get an overview.
This poster in particular is called Freedom Pavilion. This poster is a part of Early Modern design because of the simplicity that this design portrays. The photographs are the most important pieces of information because of the yellow arrow at the top left of the poster. The star at the middle of the poster "shines" light across the photographs.
Freedom Pavilion is important to the Early Modernism period because of how Beall uses arrows and lines to give impact to the more important pieces of the poster, which are the photographs. This is something that Beall does with a lot of his designs in particular. Also the primary colors suggest that this poster was created in the Bauhaus which was an important period of time within the world of graphic design.
