    For my second post of the day, I will discuss Alan Fletcher's Napoli poster. This design was created in 1984. The poster was created for the Naples '99 Foundation, the bottom displays "A statement against pollution. A poster commissioned by NAPOLI'99 Foundation as a contribution towards the cultural image of the city".  

    The Napoli poster is an example of Early Modernism because of very bluky/bold text, along with the fact that Fletcher uses a sans-serif font. An interesting design choice is that Fletcher uses brighter colors in this poster. This color choice was something that Fletcher really enjoyed doing with most of his work. The black paint spots is something that brings out the colors in the text even more. Fletcher uses principles from the Early Modernism movement, while also creating a design that has characteristics in the 1980s (specifically the color choices).
