1972 Munich Olympics Hurdles

    For my final post of the day, I found another example by Otl Aicher. This design is called 1972 Munich Olympics Hurdles. This is an example of Early Modern Design because the runners in this design are in cool toned colors for the shading that are used within the actual photographs of them. The fonts are all part of the same family, and the track shows geometric shapes (rectangles).   

    1972 Munich Olympics Hurdles is important to Early Modernism because while this design was created in the 1960s, Aicher is able to use characteristics of the 1930s and make it look present (during the 1960s) at the same time.
